BirbShare: Ease of Use

For quick access, the homepage allows you to upload content immediately, without needing to register or sign in. Use the Select Files or Select a folder button to begin your upload instantly.

File Transfer

The file transfer interface allows you to quickly upload and share files. You can upload content using either Select files or Select a folder.

After selecting your files, you can choose how to share them (via Transfer link or Email transfer). The Name, Description, and Custom URL fields are entirely optional, allowing you to create a transfer link immediately without filling out extra information.

🛠️ Advanced Transfer Settings

When creating a file transfer, you can access additional advanced settings by clicking on the icons shown above the Create transfer button.

⏱️ Time & Limit Settings

Manage the availability of your transfer. Here you can set a Downloads limit (the maximum number of times the files can be downloaded) and define when the transfer Expires on a specific date and time.

🔒 Security Settings

Control who can access your files and how. Options include adding a Password, enabling Encryption (AES 256-bit standard) for security, and setting up File preview options, such as showing previews in the browser or displaying supported media as a gallery on the download page.

⚫ Pixels (Tracking)

The Pixels feature allows you to integrate tracking code (like BirbMetrics, Facebook or Google Analytics pixels) to monitor user activity on the file download page. Click Create pixel to set up a new tracking code.

👤 Customization Settings

Customize the appearance and structure of the download page. You can assign the transfer to an existing Project for organization, Remove branding (if available on your plan), and add advanced styling or functionality using Custom CSS and Custom JS.

🔔 Notifications

Set up alerts to Get notified when your transfer gets downloaded. Use the Create notification handleroption to specify how you wish to receive these alerts.

🧭 BirbShare Dashboard

The BirbShare Dashboard is your command center for file transfer management. It provides an immediate overview of your usage and activity:

  • Initiate Transfers: Use the large Select files or Select a folder buttons at the top to quickly start a new transfer.

  • Quick Stats: Instantly view your total number of transfers created, the total files stored, and your current storage usage against your overall limit.

  • Latest Transfers: A convenient list shows your most recent transfers, including details on Expiration, Pageviews, and Download limits, allowing you to easily manage or revisit past shares.

I will create a description for the transfer options menu shown in your screenshot (options-3dots.png), as it is essential for managing individual transfers in BirbShare.


⚙️ Transfer Options Menu

On the BirbShare Dashboard, every transfer entry has a three-dot menu (⋮), giving you immediate access to all management tools for that specific file share.

By clicking this icon, you can:

  • View / Overview: Go directly to the public download page for the transfer or see the complete overview and statistics for the transfer.

  • Edit: The Edit page allows you to change the name, description, custom URL, and all advanced settings for an existing file transfer.

  • QR Code: Generate a scannable QR code for easy sharing.

  • Statistics / Downloads statistics: View detailed data on page views and download activity for that transfer.

  • Delete: Permanently remove the transfer from your account.

📊 Overview (Detailed Statistics)

The Overview section provides a complete, detailed breakdown of a single file transfer, allowing you to monitor its usage and performance.

Key Data Indicators

At the top, you will find essential, immediate metrics about the transfer:

  • File Details: Total number of files and the combined size.

  • Transfer Limits: Information on remaining downloads and the expiration date/time.

  • Engagement: The total number of pageviews the download link has received.

  • Timestamps: When the transfer was created.

Files

This section lists the individual files included in the transfer, along with their size, and provides context on specific settings applied to that file (such as encryption).

Latest Pageviews

This powerful tracking table provides detailed analytics on who is accessing your transfer link. For each visit, you can see:

  • Location: The Country and City of the viewer.

  • Device & Browser: The type of Device (e.g., Desktop) and the OS/Browser used.

  • Referrer: The source that led the user to the download page (e.g., Direct link).

  • Created on: The exact date and time of the page view.
